I have a 3550 ford hoe and an F500 single axle ford i do side work with. I get around insurance by telling its non comercial just use it to haul trash and gravel to and from my hobby farm the trailer is insured through the truck and has liability only. I have a pintle hook home built trailer that i pull behind the dump truck and a 14000 pound tadem axle trailer I pull with a an 85 Chevy crew cab gas burner for backhoe only use. I usually drop my tail gate and set my forks in the dump bed and leave the thumb on the hoe. Gas isnt a problem on weekend or after work hauls. usualy dont use the dump truck much. I used to make the college teachers mad because id park my outfit next to the lexus and bmw lol
