I have rigged up "jumper" cords to mate round pin and flat blade units. I used a plug and short length of 7 wire cord on one end and a longer cord from the other plug. I put blade and receptical commectors on each wire so I could change connections as needed. You can get converters to combine seperate brake and turn lights to work with just turn lights OR you can run a seperate wire and set an extra set of lights on the trailer for the brake lights.
