I did have some experience with half tracks on the farm that I grew up on as a boy.We had half tracks on a 1954 Massey Ferguson 35.They worked well on snow riding up and over the snow very well as I remember. The negatives I remember: the wheels would slip inside the track especially when the snow was wet and heavy. They were also a bit treacherous on ice. If the ice slopped off the tractor would slide or skate side ways on the track uncontrollably. However, they worked well on frigid snow and likely were designed mainly for those conditions. I would be interested in hearing from anyone out there with any other experiences to help me relive my youth here. Also, any pointers with the installation that I need to know etc and whether these half tracks are of any significant value is a question also on my mind. I do believe they are very interesting and nice as additional equipment to my now antique tractor as a show piece. All comments will be viewed with interest and appreciation,Thanks Ron
