I have a 404 that will quit running when I throttle it up. I found that there is a weak spark ( not a crisp blue)at the plug wires when its idling and no spark when throttling it up.
I have replaced the points and condenser and the coil has great spark.
I have noiticed that the distrbutor shaft has a little play (side to side) in it and also I can turn the rotor back and forth I think more than normal. My question is, Is there something else that can be worn between the dist. and the front cover.
