Boy, talk about old memories! In the late 60's, Toyota bought the rights to the Chevy Blue Flame Six and put it in their Land Cruiser. I bought one in 1971 and my dad took one look at the engine and told me to go easy on it or it would burn the valves. With the exuberance of youth, I went tearing along the interstate and sure enough, after only 17,000 miles had to have a valve job. It was a good engine, though. You just couldn't run it hard.
