From what I"ve seen and heard over the years you can"t go wrong with the older Hondas. I"ve got an "87 Model 250SX 3-Wheeler and it has been run hard without missing a beat for nearly 10 years. It had set for several years when I got it and all I had to do was rebuild the carb, change the oil and put in a battery to get it to run. I did have to spend a few bucks to replace the driveshaft and rebuild the rear end because it had been run full of water and sand but other than that all I"ve spent on it over the years is 3 batteries. As for the racks you might be able to get them through Dennis Kirk as thye carry a large range of aftermarket parts.
