We just had a litter of one that lived. The cat had another one that was half in and half out that was dead for about 10hrs. I tried too pull it but it wasn't coming out. I then used some Vaseline trying to assist and that didn't work so I called 5 vets.
All 5 vets said ohh ya bring her in right away or she'll die and BTW it'll be between $1100 too $2000 for a "C" section.
So I educated myself a little and found out that it's not uncommon for cats to take upto 48hrs to deliver a kitten. 1/2hr latter and the dead litten was out on it's own.
The next day we repeated the same process for 18hrs before the second dead kitten was completely out.
So from that, all vets are not the sharpest knife on the block.
