Hi Mike,my wifes jeep has two wheel drive or AWD on any road surface or 4-WD on slippery surfaces,or 4-WD low.Best I can figure on this thing is 4 low locks every thing together,limited slip front and back.The AWD is for day to day driving on all conditions,(where you don't need anything)and 4-WD hi gives you a peg leg front. But I'm still reading the manual,I could be wrong.
