If you need to pull them for a bad seal assuming that they are wet liners, use Brents method. I have built several sets of liner pullers for use on Cmmins and Caterpillar engines. If the seals are not leaking I would not pull them if they are not in that bad of shape. I think that you will find a good sleeve almost impossible to hone. They are made so hard to resist wear that most hones will not touch them. One other item to look at is when you pull them look at the exterior surface of the sleeve. Most sleeves actually wear out from the outside in. Most people do not take good care of the coolant systems and this in turn will pit the sleeves where they are exposed to water. If there is any pitting evidence at all I would recomend to buy new sleeves. If you have any questions at all about pullers, or sleeves send me an email. I could probably even get you a crude drawing of how to build a liner puller.
