I think I know the answer to this one, but tires aren't my specialty. My son put a couple of almost new Goodyear steer tires on his truck. They were takeoffs off of a new truck. They're highpros and the new truck owner wanted lowpros because his gearing was too tall.
Anyway, they had 10,000 miles then and now they have 30,000. I forget the number on the tire but they're supposedly the top ones and should go a whole lot farther than 30,000 miles.
A belt broke on one of them so he stopped by a Goodyear dealer to see what they would do and they told him there was no guarantee since he is the second owner. Don't they usually go by the MFG date and tread depth regardless of owner, or am I all wet on this one. He's going to another dealer Saturday. Jim
