I've been buying from them for close to 30 years. I've gotten lots of good equipment along with bad. Like just about anywhere, you have to pick and choose. Did you expect 100% superior quality at such low prices?
I'll add that they've given me great service. Any time I've had a problem, they took care of it right away. In fact, last year I bought a solar panel for close to $200. It arrived with broken glass (probaby thanks to UPS). HF told me to keep it, no charge. It works fine and I still use it.
In our shop at a Deere dealership, we got sick of buying high-end metal grinders from Metalbo, Sioux. Makita, and Miluakee and tried some yellow "Chicago Pnematic" from Harbor Freight. Half the cost and they held up just as well. I still have two of them I bought in 1981 and use them almost every day.
