50 percent would be 10,200 and that lets them negotiate down. I'm not sure what margin they operate on but that doesnt seem unreasonable to me. Of the businesses I deal with that I know what their mark up is, the range is 20-50 pct on regular ag stuff and tractors with the low range being to 250 pct on small parts like washers. Even on the farming side of things, if someone spends 50,000 a year on seed/chemcicals/repairs/etc and they want to make 25,000 a year in net income thats 50 pct mark up.
