That reminds me of the time a similar thing happened to a buddy's F-12 at the Portersville show (was it really 20+ years ago?... I'm gittin old). He was backing in to park in the lineup after the daily parade when one of the linkage bolts fell out and the clutch pedal kinda flopped around underneath.... He literally climbed a Fordson before the old girl stalled. After spending $400 he didn't really have on a new(er) radiator for the Fordson, all he had to say was "Thank God there wasn't anybody in the way!"
