Bob, we have had the pre-paid T-Mobile, and had very good service. The problem is that we started using them more, and we text a lot. I have a 15 year old daughter also, and we wanted her to be able to have a phone. The T-mobile was a bit expensive for all we were doing, so we are now using Boost Mobile. Have some trouble with coverage, but $50.00 a month each phone, and everything is unlimited. We also have internet etc... As for the Jitter Bug, I had thought about them, but we need more service for what we do. I have done away with a home phone, since basic service was running us about $70.00 a month, and noise on the line all the time. This is also with no long distance. SBC/ATT is GONE!!! I have seen the Jitter Bug advertised a lot, and they are in my Legion magazine almost every month. Also in the electric co-op, so they must be good for simple service. By the way, Wal-Mart has the simple T-mobile starting at about $30.00. You can swap the SIMM card yourself, if you already have one of their phones, and keep your number in the next phone.
