Congratulations on the good wine. I didn't make any this year, but have in the past. Very interesting process. Like another poster said, I made some from gooseberries a few years ago, and it was quite tolerable - much better with a little age.
Most interesting I ever made was persimmon. It was so clear you could read a newspaper through the jug, but I think I could have poured it in the tractor and plowed with it. You know the taste you sometimes get when you siphon gas? Had eight gallons of it, and couldn't drink it - it got to be about three years old and the neighbor mentioned that he'd always wanted to try persimmon wine. I sent him a gallon home. In about a week he brought the empty back and I eventually ran almost all of it through him. I wondered how he could drink it, and tried a little sip. Doggone stuff was real smooth after aging. Drank the last gallon myself. . .
