Here's several things to try. I'm gonna presume you've already checked and got the wiring connections correct... 1 - Does the ammeter show a discharge when you turn on the ignition or lights with the engine off? If so it's working OK. If the ammeter needle does not show discharge, but the ignition/lights work, the ammeter needle is stuck. The generator can be working but the ammeter won't show it. Only if you have no NO ignition/lights will that mean there's a continuity problem with the ammeter (incidentally this is not very likely) Do the following with the engine running at half throttle or faster: 2 - Connect a jumper wire between the cutout base and the grounded battery post. If the generator now charges you've got a bad ground at the cutout mounting. 3 - If the above doesn't work, connect the jumper wire between the BAT and GEN terminals on the regulator. If the generator now charges, the cutout is defective. 4 - Connect the jumper between the "F" terminal on the generator and a good ground. If the generator now charges, the problem's in the resistor light switch. Hope this helps...

When Push Comes to Shove - by Dave Patterson. When I was a “kid” (still am to a deree) about two I guess, my parents couldn’t find me one day. I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
