not getting paint on your hands in the first place is the main thing. Paint is toxic, and lots of the toxins are absorbed through the skin. Not likely to make you sick tomorrow, but they can cause liver, kidney, etc. damage and even cancer, all long term problems. My vote is for the nitril gloves.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
