I gotta vent again......
Try to keep it short.
For the last 20 years, I haven't been able to get a loan from an American bank for more than a couple $k because employment/ID card was/is only issued a year at a time and I'm not a soldier that would be easy to track down. Can't get a loan from a German bank because I'm not listed as a German citizen. Wife's status/income makes no difference to an american bank and mine makes no difference to a German bank. Our house is financed through a German bank (wife has been with for 20 years) and all listed as coming from my her income. She can't get a loan because it looks like she's putting all her income on the house. Saw a thing on TV about a place called Easy Credit. Got online and asked for 10k euro and got an answer in 10 minutes with an interest quote if approved. Interest was 3% lower than her bank advertises. The online place asked for an application accompanied by 2 pay stubs. Filled it out online, emailed the two stubs at 1400 Thursday just for giggles. Wife was checking her account online a few minutes ago and the money was in her account (deposited at noon Friday).
Not complaining at all causeshe needs a new vehicle, just amazing that niether one of us could get anything our own bank and a fly by night dropped it in with basically no questions.
