I had a golden retriever "Kelly" when I was about 20. Best damn dog. Used to love to swim. we'd go to the beach, she's swim out and get tired I'd have to row out and tie her collar to my boat and haul her back. I bought her a life jacket, she would just paddle around like she should have been born as a duck. One day I was working on my tractor in the drivewway, and a stray dog showed up across the road. I never chained kelly, cuz she never wandered. But away she went, and a car hit her right before my eyes. I took her to the vet, but she was paralyzed from the waist down. I had her put to sleep. Cried like a baby. I haven't had a pet since, I'm 39 now. Maybe it's finally time. Thanks. Take Care Steve
