Jennifer, there was no M modle Ford made. I suggest what he has is a 9N. I have a 44 2N and anyone you talk to that owns a "N" will agree that they are the best. They were made for the small farmers and can be real workhorses. Parts are available for them and not really that expensive. I havent had too do anything to mine, but will start cleaning it up and painting this spring. The 9 would do just fine for what you are wanting to use it for. You will find more uses tho. $2000.00 with the blade is not a bad price if the hydrolics work good and it runs OK. Go over to the "N" board and ask more questions if you want answere from some really experienced people. Good luck.
