Snow started here at 3 pm. Ground is just covered and nothing on the highway yet at 6pm. Locla from WSET TV says."updated Friday at 5:16 pm by Sean Sublette"
Snow will continue all night and early Saturday, with some snowfall rates as high as 1-2 inches per hour. The intensity of the snow will decrease during Saturday afternoon before ending by Saturday evening. Total storm accumulations will average 10-18 inches in Lynchburg, 14-24 inches in Roanoke, and 6-12 inches across Southside. Some areas of sleet are likely to mix in across the Southside Virginia areas, helping hold accumulations down.
