The point Rockefeller was making was that Medicare was way more efficient with the money it had,and he admitted because it had to be.He also said that you shouldnt feel sorry for the insurance companys because they made plenty of money. He had right in front of him what every insurance company claimed was its profit and was going to take 75% of it with tax.He said what over head for medicare was which was only a fraction of what big insurance was. This is a lot of money even if it is 2.2% which I think is a fantasy anyway. If it went up 435% in price while Bush was President, the reason it only had 2.2% profit must be due to squandering it some other way.It was not for paying for hospital bills because they paid for less and charged more.Which is exactly why everybody that has to deal with them is mad at them.Plus they got way more difficult to work with. There is no defense of them. Also insurance is not the only problem with Health Care.It is eating up all of the time so nothing else gets fixed either.
