I've been inside them & got lucky and fixed one of several. Unless the problem is obvious such as broken wire, component, burned or leaking part that is identifiable, the chances are slim. Most ICs are foreign & very difficult to cross in order to obtain a new component even if on a long shot you could identify it as a bad part. Just open it & if you don't see the problem in less than 5 minutes, I say it is a new anchor.
