Thanx to all for comments. I got out of farming in 1969 and did another 25 year career. Dad had all 2 point Farmalls (Fast Hitch Systems) - we kept two for maintenance. Time to start farming again so I bought a new tractor. Wasn't familiar with 3-point hitch systems. From all the comments, I now realize 3-point doesn't do "down". It is a bit of shame. The old Farmalls do wonderful things with a grader and a little down push, post hole diggers and such. We have hard clay here to move and it sure was handy. Will keep the red ones running for as long as I can, but the new blue one sure is sweet, even without "down"!
