Have been pricing and looking for a new pickup. Seens about $18100 is a low as I can price a bottom of the line F-150. IS this about right. Lists for about $ 22,655. The problem is with the body of these pickups. I have an old Dodge 250 and I can load stuff over the side of the truck and can reach almost to the center of the body.. On the new Fords I can,t even touch the bottom of the bed. Who designed these bodys with the high sides, not someone who has the load bushels of sweetcorn over the sides. The bed at the tailgate is about 8 inches higher than my old Dodge also. I would think a lower body would make much more sense. I have talked to 2 other people who have purchased new Fords who wish they had their old lower pickup back.. I also don,t think my 88 year old mother could even step up high enough to get into the cab. What do you think, am I just old and cranky or what?
