Had an almost as bad, but false alarm, experience about 10 years ago. Had injured my elbow, so doc put it in a sling & pulled my medical card. After healing I went to main office to turn in release. Parking lot empty, building locked up tight, phones disconnected. Never thought to try 800 numbers. Hustled across town to shop to get my gear out of truck, thinking at 60 yr old, too late to look for another job. Shop wide open, normal activity. Big poster in drivers room that main office had moved to new building. It was about a mile away, but in a different suburb, so different area code & new numbers. 800- numbers didn't change. Also message on satellite computer in truck, but being off for 3 weeks, hadn't seen anything. My "travel agents" were a nice bunch of guys, but I heald it over their heads that they could run & hide, but I would find them. Retired about 2 yrs later. Willie

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
