I'm giving up on giving things for Christmas. I ordered a book from Amazon for the wife on 12/11. They said it was sent that day. Never got it. Contacted them yesterday, they said it must have gotten lost in the mail. Said the book was no longer available, out of stock so they would refund my money. Ordered tickets from ticketmaster for an upcoming concert that she wants to go to,they've charged it to my card, but they haven't shown up either. Bought her a new laptop. Picked that right up at the store. Asked the little puke specifically if it would run dialup internet. He said yes,but Windows 7 would be slow, she might have to shut down an few programs in it to increase the speed, said to google it to find out how. She opened it up Christmas morning. No modem,no dialup port. She called the store yesterday, they said they don't even sell laptops anymore that run dialup. Luckily one of my sons roommates is the assistant manager of the electronics department at that particular store. She ended up with a better computer that DOES run dialup for the same price, but just one more Christmas morning dissapointment. I told her next year she was getting cash. That didn't go over AT ALL. Just amazing how many different ways so many different people can skrew things up.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule.
