I can't say I ever had to worry too much what gold weighed, regardless if in Troy ounces or USA ounces.
Now, gallons gets me more confused since the Canadian government takes USA built cars and shows better fuel MPGs when tested in Canada? Why? Because the Canadian gallon is bigger then the USA gallon. Makes things look better on paper.
