Then there's the metric system to figure out...I was unfortunate enough to have been caught in the middle when we switched over in Canada. As a result, some things I need to know in imperial measurement, others in metric.
For instance, I can relate to getting 20 mpg....but tell me a car gets 8.4 litres per 100 km and ya lost me...
Straight distance measurement for me has to be km, though.
Weight? Gotta be in pounds. (although, it sounds better after Christmas to weigh myself in kilograms rather than pounds... :D
Temperature? Celsuis all the way. For instance, I just shot my laser thermometer I have beside me at the ice in my rye. 0.6 deg C. That tells me I'd better drink up - she's starting to melt!
