In our market (central KY) what you are looking for isthe same thing everyone else is (hence generally over priced). I buy tractors and equipment for beginning farmers at auctions and generally discourage people from buying that old if they are not planning on doing some "tinkering" (you might see if someone does this in your area, my commission is 10% of the purchase price). My personal choice is an 885 or 990 Case/David Brown. They were made in the '70s, very easy on fuel, and have live PTO, plus hydraulics. Auction price 4500-5500 on the 990's (here). I agree with the assesment on the 2010 especially, the transmission is a nightmare to reassemble. Some of the imports (Long) can be bought reasonably but parts are pretty pricey. Email is you want more info.
