The original rear bunkers were square, not 55 gallon drums, so the picture was probably taken late in the engine's working life...after the original ones rusted out.

There were at least two 28HP George White engines still in existance, a 1914 model, and a 1916 one. But the last info I have on them is a quarter century old.
