I'm in a similar situation, but I've some tractor experience. I have a IH 2504 which is a 504 in yellow paint. It has enough power but isn't as long as I'd like, nor does it have spin-out wheels. I'm on a ridge and every direction is down, so stability is very high on my list of priorities. I love the Allis Chalmers D-17's, I just haven't been able to buy one yet. They are longer and wider and heavier. But the snap-coupler to 3pt conversion on the early models leaves something to be desired. If you are on flat land don't overlook the narrow-front tractors, esp the AC's. They are quick handling. I vote for the IH or AC. Check out the local supply of used parts before you buy. STAY AWAY from MF "multi-power" and the GREEN ones take GREEN backs and the earth knows not the difference. I like Deutz as well, but don't buy one that isn't running. You need to know exactly what it needs and if you can get it. If you are not mechanically inclined, find someone who is, or hire out the work. You'll be glad you did.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
