I looked it up on the net. The bill was close to $16,800 and the Oilers only wanted to pay $12,400! It was at the restaurant where George W Bush dined last year. The alcohol bill was for $8248 which included dozens of tequila shots and $1000 champagne! One of the players took a swig from a bottle of expensive imported brandy and they refused to pay for the whole bottle. The owner said he couldn't serve the rest of bottle to other clients after someone had a drink directly from it. The owner is donating the money the oilers paid to charity. Apparently when the bill came the oilers went ballistic and started threatening, denigrating the staff saying, "we're the Edmonton Oilers and we expect a 50% discount". A much better analogy would be; We're the Edmonton Oilers are we're losers! They lost the game too. Dave
