Sounds like a master to me. Take it and since it most likely has power brakes start it up and push on the brake pedal had it and had it hard for as long as you can or till the pedal hits the floor. If it falls and there is no leaks under the car then the master is bad. Of course if you find a leak under the car then you have a broken line some place and maybe even a bad wheel cylinder so look at the rear brake drums for wetness.
