I was lucky enough to be stationed at Yuma Proving Ground for 2 1/2 years. We had three days in January one time that saw temps over 90F. In the summer, the OAT gauges on the helicopters pegged out at 50C (122F). They wouldn't go any higher than that. They wouldn't start coming down off the peg until we had climbed through 1000'. Freezing level was pretty constant at 13000' though.
