My Grandfather ran Herefords for ever. Beef cow should be red with white faces in my book.
Not sure why everyone has to have black animals these days. The fellow added a few Black Angus to his herd and they're a little nutty although he did say they're good moms. The Hereford/Angus cross he had pastured at my place simple didn't like people, once he started running you just hoped he would stop...
