Case 730 diesel worth?

I am wondering what a Case 730 diesel with the case-o-matic transmission. Not sure about the year model. New tires, faded paint. The tractor has been sitting for four years. Body not beat up but used. I am planning to start and drive the tractor before considering purchase. Farmer said tractor ran great when he had to quit farming. What problems do I need to look for. He also said the tractor would sometimes use a quart of oil on 200 acres and sometimes not a drop? Thanx, Shane
