Hi John. Advancing the cam 6.7 degrees will raise the compression which will make more lower RPM torque. If thats what you need thats how you get it. Opening and closing the valves earlier or before top dead center makes more cylinder pressure, be careful of valve to piston interference, the intake valves will be closer to the piston at the top of the stroke, probably not a problem with a stock camshaft but its better to be safe than sorry. The higher cylinder pressure could cause a little spark knock, you can tell by the spark plugs and fuel mixture may lean out a little. Just a few things to watch for. Have fun!
