They say we have about 7 inches of snow but I cant find any place there is only 7 inches of snow. Ran into this guy on the way to do chores this morning. It was a busy day for the road crews.
The corn that is still unharvested really has alot of snow in it now.
A few of the calves see I am there and watch for me to go into the shed and get their feed.
The snow sure does make everything look nice.
Just a couple of nosey calves.
Here is my frozen waterer. Worked on it for awhile this morning and finally gave up and put the new heat tape on the pipe and plugged it in to keep things from getting any worse at least.
Just a pic looking south out of the barn lot about 3 this afternoon. It wasnt as nice as the picture makes it out to be.
The 4230 is plugged in and ready to go. The 1086 is here in the shed and on the block heater is on the timer to be ready in the morning. The 8920 and the other blower is in the heated shop at cliffs house. I backed my truck in tonight so I can take a run at getting out of here if I have to in the morning. I went and got Logan and he helped me feed hay at both farms and bed the steers. We ran as much water as possible for the cows and calves at the Higgs farm. Did chores earlier than we had to but doing chores here at home tonight at about 4:30 the wind was really starting to blow.
My great grandad always said his dad told him the only thing between the back door of this house and the north pole was a screen door and on a night like this I know what he means.
Wrigley is sleeping at my feet. He loves to play in the snow and the deep snow really wears him out. Have fun in the snow everybody! bill
