I have one, 1981 diesel. That is a good price for one with a loader. Mine is a sweet tractor but has been expensive to own. Twice it has been split to repair internal oil leaks in the rear end when pipes broke. Front hyd. pump went out too. Engine dropped an o-ring and that was $6000 by the time it was running as the crankshaft was cracked. Mine has hi/lo and works well. Shuttle shift is $10,000 to repair if it has that I was warned. I use it on a shredder, augers, etc. but when I tried it on a 4 bottom plow on a hot day it wanted to overheat right away, at least on the gauge. Had plenty of power at 60hp but I did not push my luck. Maybe my cheapo replactment radiator is not as good as JD.
Mine has just over 4,000 hours and has not been abused and had regular maint. Like my buddy says, if it has +its or tires, it will cost you money!
