Take the line off where the fitting goes in the block-the oil filter and governor line go into the block. You can take an oil can and shoot oil right in there. That will prime the pump after putting the line back on. If you did damage the pick-up tube when putting the plug back in the pan, then you will have to remove the pan, remove the pump and cold-sauder the tube back into the pump-not a big job.
