Cold will effect the LCD screen on radios . The instruction book on my Clarion CD player in my truck says that cold air will cause the display ( screensaver ) to move slow ( sluggishly ) . until it warms up . But other than that ,cold should'nt bother anything mechnical . Yes , there is a fuse in the harness of radios that are nonstock from factory, such as my Clarion. There are usualy two nowdays , one for the 12v main and one for the 12v secondary side.
