Which lead does the alternator charge the batt thru? the A+ lead or the S lead (using the amp-gauge system) Also, is it alright to install an alt cutoff switch in the output lead? This system is a follows... the alt output lead goes thru an ammeter then to a cutoff relay. From the relay it goes to the continuously-hot solenoid terminal. Which lead does the battery get charged thru,and is this setup acceptable? By the way, the cutoff switch will seldom be open...but still, is that ok for the alternator or will it burn out with no load? (I heard voltage can "build up" in there and fry it, but I don't really believe it.) Thanks, Andy
