Some years back, i was Captain in Charge of our Fire Police Unit. Out on the Interstate, it was scary!! Dumb drivers were a scourge on the roads. every moving driver was looking around to see what happened! Very few, if any, were seeing the road in front of them, too busy gawking around. After i almost got run over by a driver who seemed to be half asleep, i decided that job was not for me, so i resigned. Also, we had a large gas leak in a housing plan, so we had to keep dumb ladies from driving thru the area, because of maybe a spark setting off a big explosion. Men would stop-dumb ladies wouldn't---"Oh, i must get to my house--my 2 year old triplets are all alone there!" or: "I left my garage door open to run to the store" not. I saw it go up when she wouldn't obey my orders! One time, on a road block, i had cars stopped on a local street. I had my back to the cars. Suddenly a horn blasted not a foot behind me! I turned around and there was "white-hair" trying to get me to open the lane--her dogs were alone in the house and she had to get back to feed them! Stupid is as Stupid does. I resigned after those episodes. I just listen, and find out what happened when i see one of the members of the Fire Police Unit.
