Yea,don't we know it J,but if it's just the pressure plate,it would about HAVE to be that he didn't use the flywheel from the original engine. The pressure plate should have bolted right back up to the one that it came off of. If it's a clutch alignment problem,just use a deep well socket that fits tight in the pilot bearing and the center hole in the clutch before he tightens the pressure plate/ Tell him to be careful to use the bolts that go with the original flywheel. Flywheel thickness varies,and if the bolts are too long,they can go all the way into the aluminum housing that holds the rear main seal and crack it. Ask me how I know.
