I haven't had the chance to put a cylinder on it yet but that was going to be my next attempt. I posted it in another thread, but here's what I ran into today - I opened the bleeder on the filter and nothing came out. I took the plug out of the bottom of the pump and a small amount of fluid that was full of air came out of it. With the engine not running and the plug out of the pump fluid with air bubbles came out of the bleeder. The pump was recently replaced according to the owner's hired man and it has a new coat of blue paint. The steering works halfway decent and the brakes work well if that makes any difference. I really appreciate the help.
