If you want to see a really ugly side of society - work retail. People would behave far better overall if some of their conduct could be filmed at these establishments and had the threat of that being shown in a public forum held over their head. But when you see the appetite the general public has for the crudeness of reality TV, I really have to wonder anymore. Customer and employee would be best served by "treat others as you would have them treat you." As much as we want to show society how tough we are it would be better if we swallowed a little pride and showed some kindness.
