Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere, only seems logical that the richest one would help them out when they needed it.
The people there are uneducated and poor, that is not their fault. They spend the better part of their life just trying to survive, education is a luxury to them, not a necessity.
I agree, I rather see my tax dollars go to disaster relief than what a lot of it get spent on.
