All depends on what your objective is. For me, my tractors earn my living. When I buy one to 'fix up' I have a dollar figure in mind as to what its worth to sell. When I hit 2/3 of that on fixing it up I chop it up for parts. Now, to make that work it has to have some parts value. 460-560 IH have been the best to me, they almost always part as much or more than they are worth whole. JD, there is a bunch of them out there and JD has good support for new parts, Ford has a wealth of made in India aftermarket parts. So I dont try to buy either of them needing a lot of work.
