I hope it has warmed up some by now. Last week I was in Jacksonville and Tallahassee and the weather was colder than it was in Seattle. I NEEDED a winter coat anytime I was outside during my week in Florida. When I left a cup of tea in the rental car overnight, it had over 1/4" of ice on the top the next morning...not quite what I expected on a trip that far South this time of year.

Although I am a little worried that the precipitation will be way low for this season, I really appreciate not having to deal with so much snow. We set an all-time record snowfall in 2008-2009.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
